Beer to Find for Show 57

Decisions, decisionsThe next episode doesn’t feature any specific beer, but does spotlight what, for me, has become a go-to beer outlet. If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably already guessed that I’m talking about Whole Foods Market, my own personal Beervana. Episode 57 is a Beer As Folk interview with one of the hard-working “team members” who has hooked be up with beer and interviews for the last couple of years now, and it’s an inspiring tale about how much influence one person can have in the cause of Great Beer. To drink along, scare up your favorite, special beer that you don’t mind paying just a little more than usual for. If you get it at Whole Foods, all the better.

    Charlie,
I was wondering when you might be posting more shows. I enjoy all of the insights that you provide during your shows, and I enjoy Whole foods a great deal

    belgian guy,

The show has foundered a bit, but will return soon. The next show should be posted with days, with a couple more to follow. I’m working on getting it back “on track,” though “sporadic mode” is still going to reign for a while. Just stay subscribed, and good things will flow down the feed.

    Hi Charlie,
Whole Foods is indeed a great place to pick up various brews. Here in San Francisco it’s the only place to grab Russian River Brewing Co’s Pliney the Elder. I don’t know if they sell it there at the Whole Foods in Arizona, but if you haven’t tried PtE and are a fan of Double IPA style beers then it’s a must. The first time I tried it was a couple months ago when I was at Russian River in Santa Rosa, worth a visit if you haven’t ever been.

    Cheers,
    -Lane
