I had understood that one needed to "know somebody" to get their hands on The Abyss. And Dark Lord? Are these "alternatives" some sort of cruel joke? I could bath in Yeti from local outlets if I were so inclined, but I would soil myself at the sight of one of these other beers. You must live in a mighty beer friendly place.

Good to hear from you, SOBbro!

Actually, those are beers I *can't* easily get my hands on (excepts Stone). The reasoning, potentially faulty to be sure, is that if I can't find them, someone somewhere else (the Midwest, say) can. In addition, they should give folks the "flavor" of the beers so that they can sub in their local area alternative ("Uncle Bubba's Pitch Black Tar Sauce", for example).

I'm guessing a Yeti bath would do wonders for one's complexion...I might just start saving my pennies!
