Here are the beers for next week. If you live west of the Mississippi, or outside the US altogether, please consider the alternative selections. I think they’re pretty reasonable this time:

Yuengling Traditional Lager [alternatives: Shiner Bock, JW Dundee's Original Honey Brown, Henry Weinhard's Classic Dark Lager, Warsteiner Premium Dunkel]
Victory Hop Devil Ale [alternatives: Stone IPA, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, AleSmith IPA, Fuller's India Pale Ale]
Hey Charlie -
Thanks for doing one that those of us over on the east coast can play along to. I will head to the store tomorrow!

No prob, Michael. Good hunting!
I found the Hop Devil at a local store I was checking out. I still need to look for the other, though if Shiner Bock and J.W. Dundee’s Honey Brown are alternates, I have a pretty good idea what it should be like.
Thanks Charlie-
Here in Baltimore, both of these beers are readily availble. I am afraid you might be dissapointed with the Yuengling. I buy it just because it is a step above Budweiser and over here you can get it for $9 a 12 pack.
Shiner is an interesting choice of alternate. I dunno Michael Yuengling isn’t too bad at all, granted I’d rather have a nice IPA or Hefe but I wouldn’t disrespect it. Besides last time I was back East for a trip it was free at our hotel bar during Happy Hour.
Thomas–I too think Shiner is an interesting choice (I was surprised when I came up with it), yet I stand by it. I think all of this points out that our experience of a beer can be heavily context-dependent…
Nice! Your beer choices are awesome. Joe and I are going to “drink” with you. I found both of the beers, and we are both looking forward to seeing you in the near future.
And the beer presentation is awesome.
