Show 0: You are where you drink
Prebeer preamble: Can a beer taste like a country?
Beer 1: I’m joined by my friend Eric to quaff some Old Peculier. It’s an English beer, but does it taste that way?
Interbeer Interlude: Beerlosophy essay “Beer Is Proof.” The history and evolution of beer in six minutes or less, with a bunch of people named Jones.
Beer 2: Eric and I return to home soil to find out if Arrogant Bastard stirs our nationalism. We find that it kicks our collective keesters, but does it evoke Old Glory?
Beer Geek Moment: Import or Domestic? Important question or Non-issue?
Post-beer postscript: Eric and I rate the beers we consumed, using our scientific evaluation process. OK, it’s more “scientific” than scientific…

Cool show, I didn’t get bored and turn it off. Only thing easier to do than turn off a boring podcast is to stop reading. Good selection of music. I liked your “creation” of beer essay during the re-beer.
As far as domestic or import, that depends if you can get the “real” version of the import. Right now I’m liking Sam Adams Black Lager.
Drinking a Gunniess in one of those multi-room bars in Berlin during the mid eighties convinced me there was more to beer life than Bush by the suitcase.

Glad you like the show fred! Tell a freind or two..
The next show will have a little about my “conversion experience” to quality beer. I’m curious…anybody else out there want to share about how they came to appreciate good beer? Post a comment, shoot an email, or leave a voicemail and tell me about it. I’ll share!

OK .. I’ll share.
After drinking the same “yellow beer ” for a few years, I was out with a few friends who were drinking something called cream ale so, I gave it a shot and my eyes were opened. During the 80’s when the homebrew kick started my brother got into it. Soon after, I started after reading about the differences in beer, ale, and the rest. I no longer brew but, now I know what I like ( the redder the better.) I’ll never drink that domestic mass produced stuff again.

Wow! Thanks for a really good podcast about beer that we need to try. I have had some limited experience with beer, but this will be a great way to add to my weekend drinking.
Please post the beers you will be reviewing beforehand, so we can purchase them and try them with you as we listen. I have always enjoyed beer, (still a whiskey kind of gurrl) but you have changed my mind about brew!
Perhaps you can tell us what brewery’s are in the different areas, and where we fans can go to get the fresh brew?
Thanks, Charlie, and as alway, I bow to the BeerMaster.

Great podcast. I learned a lot about beer from this one cast. What are y’all going to do for future shows? Thanks for having pictures of the beer on the site, it makes it easier to find them in the stores. Charles
